The end of 2006…
I know this is a bit late, but one of my friends does an annual roll of thanks on his blog every new year, and this year, somehow, I feel inspired to do it too. Perhaps coz 2006 has been a monumental year for me in a lot of different ways, and I have a lot to be grateful for. So here goes.
Thank you to Niral, for being there when the year started right up to when the year ended. You continue to inspire me, and more importantly, improve me. Thanks for being my friend, philosopher, guide, partner in crime, and occasionally, the victim of my crimes. You have been the wind beneath my wings every time life has thrown me flat on my face. For all those times when I have tested your patience, thanks for being there. And I am incredibly grateful for every time you have rescued me and my computer from the depths of destruction. Looking forward to many more of those in the future
To mum and dad, thanks for being mum and dad. Thanks for the way in which you guys handled me moving out. And thanks for loading me up with all those wonderful home-cooked meals every time i came back home for a visit. Thanks dad for coming down to hamilton to fix our washing machine….twice! I guess living in Mt Roskill will make it much easier for you to fix my washing machine in the future
Hope you both get better soon guys.
Sanky, thanks for looking out for me whenever I needed looking out for. And thanks for not doing the housework at all at home, I really appreciate it! Looking forward to a fun-filled 2007 as flatties!
To all the other ex-TIs at Hamilton, it was an awesome year with great highlights! Kat makes an awesome santa, Anita makes an awesome world cake, and Moo loves dolls and being called Moo! Thanks Vids, for the hypochondriac textbook, it was so useful in psych in USA! Nif, for baking mean-as cakes and bestowing me with beautiful jewellery on my birthdays. Special thanks to Moo, for helping me with my second medical long case, I really appreciate it. On the same note, thank you to Dr Forrest, for being the most amazing registrar I have ever had the good fortune of meeting. You have been amazing, and have gone way beyond what was required of you. Thank you for all those midnight coaching sessions while ur family waited for you at home, I wouldnt be here today without your help. You have been awesome!
Thanks Prasad, for forgiving for the 2005 shampoo incident. Your friendship continues to enlighten and enliven, and I hope it continues to do so for years to come. Long live Gandhigiri!
Spongemike! For all the awesome smileys you added to my collection on msn. Thanks for being a willing patient for my amateur counselling service. For being my friend, counselling subject, and sharer of secrets. This year wouldnt have been the same without all of our bitching sessions on msn and at nando’s. Thanks for being there when I needed you.
Dil, for being my Pagani twin. 2006 had a bit fewer wardrobe scares coz I was in Hammy, but looking forward to some more of that in 2007. Hope MMH is treating you well.
Tusharmama, it was great to see you again after all these years. I miss your presence, and I am glad we had this opportunity.
Tim and Rory, for making awesome workmates
Lexi, here is looking forward to a lot more fights over patient turfing. Congrats on ur award at the TI ball!
For anyone else that I may have missed out, I apologise. Its been an awesome year, and I hope it has been for you guys too. And I think I should stop now before this turns into an Oscar speech!
