Wow man, its been a month since I last wrote anything. Its just been so busy. I have been so busy. Its insane. Last week, I worked a total of 71 hours over a period of six days. And the 7th day, I dont even remember. I know it was ANZAC day, but I was totally conked out for the most part of that day. Shit man! 71 hours is a lot of hours. Unbelievable. And even more unbelievable that I did 71 hours. Me, who has a struggle getting out of bed every morning. Me, who normally needs at least 10 hours sleep a night, have been living off 6.5 hours sleep for the last two weeks. Man, I am amazed at myself. And the thing is, I am not even struggling with the alarm clock in the morning anymore. Hmmm….Weird. This is definitely not me.

But maybe it is not so weird. The closer I get to becoming a doctor, the more I enjoy it. And my current run in Cardiology, I have had more responsibility than ever. Thanks to an amazing registrar, I have had a great time in Cardiology. Of course it means I am doing a lot of the house surgeon’s work, but thats why I am really enjoying it. I feel used. And you know what? I dont care. I am having fun, and thats all that matters. I am enjoying work.

Damn, I am not looking forward to switching to O+G in a few weeks’ time!
